Mark Walsh returned from an injury-enforced absence with a winner on Foxfire Glow in Downpatrick.
The jockey who had been out of action since a fall at the Punchestown Festival in April partnered Foxfire Glow (11/10f) in the extended two mile five furlong maiden hurdle.
The five-year-old gelding set a steady pace in unison with Scorsese and had plenty in the tank when Howaya C D And E threw down her challenge before the last.
Foxfire Glow climbed the hill well and went on by two and three-quarter lengths from the 10/3 runner-up.
Trainer Gordon Elliott said: "They have been running well all day without getting in the winners enclosure. Great to get a winner in Downpatrick, it is a great racecourse and the whole team do a great job and I love coming here.
"We stepped him up in trip and I'd say that was the key to him.
"Great for Mark - first day back after injury so it is grand."
