Walsh and Martin strike again
The Tony Martin trained Askmeroe put in a fine a display of jumping to land the Broad Meadow Beginners Chase in the hands of Ruby Walsh.
Walsh made it a pillar the post victory aboard the son of Rudimentary, the pair were in command turning for home and passed to post with twenty one lengths to spare.
A delighted Martin said afterwards: "That was great, I'm delighted for the owners. Aidan [Shiels] came home from New York to watch him win."
"Niall Reilly and Aidan have been great supporters of mine and i'm just delighted he won for them."
"It was a very weak contest but he jumps really well, he loves the heavy ground and we can't ask anymore of him."
