Walsh Doubles Up on Older And Wiser
Ruby Walsh is riding like he has never been away and the Kildare man partnered his third winner since his return to action on Thursday when Older And Wiser ran out a comfortable all-the-way victor of the Landmark Estates Maiden Hurdle to complete a double on the evening for the man on board (he'd earlier scored on Honour The World .
Walsh of course broke his ankle off the ill-fated Imperial Hills at Killarney on May 10th, but there was never any fear of the champion parting company with this grey who hurdled well and won by ten lengths from Shouldertoshoulder
Successful trainer, Oliver McKiernan said: "We always thought a lot of him. I'm delighted for him that he has finally got his head in front. Hopefully the penny has dropped with him now. He'll soon be jumping a fence and he'll go for a winners of one next."
The French-bred was second to Plunkett in the first race ever run at Ffos Las last month.
