Walsh Does it in the Red & White Again
Mark Walsh has enjoyed two successes in recent times in the Tom McParland silks aboard Imaalhall and the red with the white hoop, white sleeves and the pink cap proved lucky again for the Clane, Co. Kildare pilot, this time on Slievecorragh in the Moycarkey Maiden Hurdle.
This seven to two favourite, fought off the point-to-point winning newcomer, Instinctive by half a length with a distance back to the third.
Francis Flood junior said of their winner: "We are delighted with him, he gave a great battling performance. We'll probably go handicapping rather than for a winners race. Mark gave him a great ride, we were a little bit worried about the ground but he seemed to handle it well." (EM)
