Wachman/Murtagh Continue Good Run
Fresh from their Group 1 success with Bushranger in the Prix Morny at Deauville last Sunday, David Wachman and Johnny Murtagh made it the third time in a row that they have combined successfully (Again at Leopardstown, followed by Bushranger) when Astonish ran out a ready two and a half length winner of the Dunbavin Maiden at Tipperary.
The daughter of Cape Cross had plenty of experience with four runs under her belt coming into this five furlong contest and she made most. Wachman said: "She always promised to win a maiden. We will go down the handicap route now and take it from there. She won well enough." (EM)
