Newcomer Assume the apparent David Wachman second string, showed a good turn of foot to land the mosscontrol.ie Maiden under Billy Lee.
The three-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock opened at 9/1 on-course but came in for plenty of late support and went off a 6/1 chance.
Settled behind the leaders she came with her challenge between horses over a furlong out. She was soon ridden and got to the front inside the final 50 yards, going on to score by three parts of a length. McGuigan (7/1), who hit the front early in the straight, ran a fine race to take second under Kevin Manning for Jim Bolger while Tadaany (2/1) was a further two and three parts of a length back in third under Pat Smullen for Dermot Weld. Black Wolf Run was the other Wachman runner in the line-up and he could only manage fourth after going off the 7/4 favourite under Wayne Lordan.
David Wachman said afterwards: "That was grand as she's been a hard filly to train. She was a big two year old, had been weak and has had a few problems.
"She now seems to have turned the corner and I was expecting her to run nicely today."
