The David Wachman trained Curvy landed a gamble to win the Come To The Family Day May 17th Handicap at Navan today, winning on debut for jockey Wayne Lordan.
The John Magnier owned daughter of Galileo was well backed from 8/1 into 5/1 second favourite and in the end proved three and a half lengths too strong for even money favourite Ringside Humour
Lordan later stated "she was quite a weak filly last year and took a while to get it together but in the last month or month and a half she started to go well. The sunshine on her back seems to have helped and she stays well.
"She's well bred and hopefully she will continue to step forward as the year goes on. She pricked her ears once she got to the front and that's normally a good sign and suggests she had a little left in the locker."
