Viking Vistor takes last in style
The Joe Bollard Memorial (Pro/Am) Flat saw an easy winner in the Kieran Purcell trained Viking Visitor after he ran out a three and a half length winner under Joe Burns.
Burns took up the lead travelling well from over three furlongs out and kept on well inside the final furlong to hold off the efforts of 2/1 favourite Gran Torino
Winning trainer Purcell said afterwards: “He’s a lovely horse, he just idled a bit in front today.”
“Hopefully he will go to Galway, he loves this kind of ground and he’s a real chaser in the making.”
