- Victoria a star at Clonmel
Victoria a star at Clonmel
Colin Bowe's Our Victoria a well-bred three parts sister to Our Vic and Siegemaster with a couple of point-to-point and a bumper win under her belt followed up a Punchestown success with a gritty display under Barry 'Bon' O'Neill in the opening Cahir Mares Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.
The daughter of Old Vic stayed on stronger than the favourite Galianna in the testing conditions to prevail by three and a half lengths.
Bowe said: "She'll probably go for a novice hurdle now. I thought the trip would be a bit short but she is tough."
The winning owner Richie Furlong is from Adamstown, County Wexford and his pride and joy was led up by David O'Connor, winner of the 2007 edition of the You're A Star talent show on RTE. The Ferns native has been with Bowe for 3 or 4 months now.
