Veteran 12 year old chaser Thelobstercatcher made it two winners in as many days for trainer Pat Fahy at Limerick today, winning the Lyons Of Limerick Handicap Chase under jockey David Mullins.
The grey son of Silver Patriarch quickened to lead after jumping the final fence and in the end recorded a three and three parts of a length win over Milanesque
Afterwards Fahy, successful with Tongie yesterday, registering his 15th win of the season, stated “he had been working well but is fairly ground dependent and can get stuck on some grounds.
“David (Mullins) never panicked and was good on him. We were aiming for a race at Fairyhouse — his favourite track, and he should still get in to that 0-123. He has been a great horse for us and that's his seventh win and he has also won at Grade C level.”
