Vera Verto continued the good recent run being enjoyed by the Gavin Cromwell yard when taking the featured €45,000 Listowel Printing Works Handicap.
The Danestown trainer was sending out a fourth winner at this year’s Harvest Festival meeting and his prolific week also includes a double at Fairyhouse on Monday.
The Prince Of Lir mare made all under Gary Carroll and quickly took control when asked for an effort at the home turn, galloping on strongly to score by five lengths. Vischio proved the best of the remainder with Imaginarium a further length and half back in third.
Vera Verto was recording a fifth career win having also won this summer at Ballinrobe.
Carroll said, “She handles that ground but probably wouldn't want it that soft but it is drying out so she got through it today.
"I got to control the race a little bit, we kicked off the bend and won well. She is a good honest filly and hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on her."
