Vector Force under Colin Keane, justified strong market support (4/6f) when improving on three runner-up efforts to win the Dundalk Stadium Racecourse Of The Year Maiden at Dundalk this evening.
Winning trainer Ger Lyons was represented by his brother and assistant Shane Lyons who later stated “it was a well deserved success and I think seven furlongs would be his minimum trip. He was only doing enough up the straight and he'll obviously want further.
“He was professional about the way he did it and was professional to come back quickly after running last week. He'll get a nice rest for the winter now and I'm delighted for his owners Vincent and Geraldine Gaul who've had eight second this year but this is their first winner! It's a nice Christmas present for them!”
