Vamizi Island survives Stewards Enquiry
Vamizi Island justified his short price when running out a convincing winner of the Murray Sand, Gravel & Decorative Stone Auction Maiden for trainer Tommy Stack.
Wayne Lordan never had his mount too far off the pace, the pair hit the front two furlongs from home and slightly hampered runner-up Gemara inside the final furlong before going on to score by three lengths.
Connections had to survive a Stewards Enquiry when the winner came across and hampered the challenging Gemara inside final furlong.
