Unquestionable placed on debut in a Listed at the Curragh earlier this month, stepped forward from that run with the benefit of an extra furlong and sounder surface to take the Tally Ho Stud Irish EBF (C&G) Maiden in impressive fashion.
Trained by Aidan O’Brien for a partnership including Al Shaqab Racing, the son of Wootton Bassett made all and got well on top inside the final furlong.
The 4/6 favourite was pushed out by Ryan Moore to beat Mr Saturday by four and a half lengths with Temple Of Hera keeping on a length further back in third.
O'Brien said, "We're delighted with him. We felt he'd appreciate the step up, it was big ask to throw him in over five first time in a Stakes race, he's going to get even further than this probably.
“Ryan was very happy with him. He went to the line very strong.
“It's very hard to beat a run and he had a good run. He looks like a Coventry horse.”
Paddy Power and Betfair both introduced the winner at 16/1 for the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
