Tuk Tuk became the third winning favourite in as many races at Gowran as the Sinndar colt brought up a double for Dermot Weld and Leigh Roche in the Raceday Packages At Gowranpark.ie Median Auction Maiden.
The victorious once previously raced three-year-old was adding to the Rosewell House gains in the previous heat with Radanpour
A 6/4 chance on this occasion, Tuk Tuk headed Alguazil two furlongs out, keeping on well inside the final furlong to defeat Chicago Secret by a length and three parts.
Weld number one, Pat Smullen, is currently serving a two day suspension, and his boss stated: "He (Tuk Tuk) did what we hoped he would do. He ran a nice race first time out and he has progressed well. He loved the mile and a half here and he is from a wonderful staying family.
"The dam is by Sadler's Wells, the grand-dam is by Shirley Heights, and the great grand-dam is by Ile De Bourbon, so it's a very much stamina orientated pedigree.
"I'd say the further he goes the better he goes.
"It's lovely for Leigh to ride two winners, so far. He is a very capable rider as we all know and he never lets us down on the big occasion.
"He is at a wonderful weight, he is an natural eight stone four rider."
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Echoville trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount had wind issues in running and was pulled up thereafter.
