Two for J S B & K J M at Gowran at near 48/1
High Net Worth (noseband) can't get to Wexford Opera at Gowran

The form book said High Net Worth (second favourite) had little to fear from the long-standing maiden Wexford Opera in the concluding event at Gowran, but the latter got off the mark on outing number fourteen to bring up a near 48/1 double for Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning. They'd landed the first with Mandatario
It was a change of tactics that helped Wexford Opera turn a five length beating by High Net Worth at Down Royal (2nd and 3rd respectively on that occasion) into a one and a quarter length success now (on almost identical terms over the same trip). Manning made all here on the New Approach colt.
Johnny Murtagh 's presence in the plate and a rail-side draw in one saw Like A Diamond go off a strong 11/10 favourite but he was a one-paced four and three parts of a length back in third.
"That was overdue and he deserved it. Kevin rode him different today – jumping out and making all.
"Kevin said he loved it in front and he was always holding the second horse," stated Coolcullen representative Ger Flynn. (AM & EM)
