Tus Nua impresses again
Mikey Fogarty can do little wrong at present and the bang-in-form amateur teamed up with a trainer in a similar rich vein, Brian Nolan, to land favourite Tus Nua an easy five and a half length victor of the concluding Winged Love (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Down Royal.
A 20/1 scorer on her debut at Killarney 40 days ago, Tus Nua showed the worth of her breeding, as she is by Galileo out of a Darshaan mare, coming to challenge on the bridle in the straight before going about her business from over a furlong out to account for keeping on at one pace, The Grey Express
Brian Nolan said: "We'll give her a little break now. We have schooled her and she jumps well so she'll go hurdling next. We gave her a little break after Killarney and sent her home where she was put out into the field. We'll do the same now."
When queried about whether she could be Galway bound or as to whether she'd act around there, Nolan remarked: "She'd act anywhere, she's that good."
