Treble for Willie Mullins
Patrick Mullins guided The Bosses Cousin home in the two-mile bumper for his father Willie Mullins to justify 11/10 favouritism.
The five-runner field were taken along by the aptly named Come Follow Me but he was passed by the favourite at the two furlong pole. Paul Nolan’s Big Generation (11/4) set off in pursuit but could make no impression in the final furlong and was three-and-a-quarter-lengths down at the line.
“As he’s a six-year-old he’ll now go jumping. He’s a fine big horse, a big chaser,” Willie Mullins, who was saddling his third winner at the track today, said.
Sam Da Vinci (5/2) came home third, while Cinder Rua (11-1 to 9/1) was fourth. Pacesetter Come Follow Me was last of the five.
