Treble for Murtagh at Naas
Man inform here this afternoon Johnny Murtagh recorded a treble, first leg of the treble came on John Haydens Harrier Call. The second part of the treble was on the impressive Black Bear Island for his trainer Aidan O'Brien.
The final leg of his treble came aboard Festival Princess for trainer Michael Halford when winning The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden in the colours of Tom Curran.
Halford said afterwards, 'She is nice big filly whose getting better with age. We hope to step her up and get some black type with her. She had a good season last year and owner Tom Curran who gave a bit of money for her has been very patient.'
