Sunday Sovereign was prominent throughout and fended off the persistent challenge of Magical Vision to win the concluding QuinnBet Handicap.
The 9/1 chance responded well to Colin Keane's urgings to score by a head and give the champion jockey a treble after Letherfly and Aussie Girl in the other six-furlong contests on the card.
It was a fifth career win for the Equinano gelding who completed a 189/1 sprint double for owner/trainer James McAuley after Tawaazon s win over five furlongs an hour earlier.
“The horses have all just clicked," said McAuley.
"We have cut back on their work and just done sharper work and it seems to have them particularly sweet at the minute.
“He never really got into a battle before as when he won, he won easy but Colin said he was extremely genuine.
“We bought him for handy enough money and he’s won twice for us now.”
