Trainer Gavin Cromwell and jockey Keith Donoghue completed Tramore doubles today, as Tyre Kicker (morning 7/1, returned 5/2f) was the pair's second well-supported winner, in the concluding Tom Carroll Memorial Handicap Chase.
Tyre Kicker made use of a recent rule change which allows exposed handicap hurdlers, rated 102 or less, to compete in chases using their hurdles' rating and today scored on fences debut, from Kings Halo
Tiger Roll's one-time jockey Donoghue was earlier successful on Cromwell's Ahead Of The Posse and following his double, said "this fella disappointed us a little bit over hurdles but we knew he was a good jumper as he had experience from running in point-to-points.
“We thought he would be better over fences but we also thought he'd have done more over hurdles. He jumped brilliant today and won well. Hopefully he can progress now into what we thought he might do.
He loved the trip, travelled well and went through the ground well. He probably wasn't seeing it out over three miles over hurdles but it was a winnable race today. He'll have to step up the next day but we are back on track with him."
