Tough Thought best of the mares
Quiet Thought proved tough to land the spoils in the mares hurdle at Limerick.
Bryan Cooper found a willing partner as she battled hard to record a two-length success over Run For Sol in the 2m3f event.
The pair has been locked together from the second last but it was Dessie Hughes' charge who found more from the final flight.
Run For Sol just held the late charge of Avondhu Lady for second.
"She's a good little mare and Bryan was very good on her. She never really carried him but he persevered," said Hughes.
"She disappointed on her last couple of runs and I thought she wanted good ground so I was disappointed when I heard the jockeys describing it earlier as horrible.
"She may go for a handicap or the Grade 2 mares race at Fairyhouse. We'll look for some blacktype."
