Tornado Blows Younger Rivals Away
He only got off the mark at the twenty fourth attempt last time and the conditions of the race didn't suit him but Tornadodancer attracted support at 10/1 this morning and as a 6/1 shot the oldest runner of the five strong field in the Aherlow House Hotel & Lodges Race got the job done at Tipperary.
The last one off the bridle under Martin Harley, the gelded son of Princely Heir got to the front over a furlong out and kept on well under pressure to beat Shining Armour by three parts of a length. Market-principals, Inourthoughts and The Emperor Nero were two lengths and a short head further back in third and fourth.
For Harley this was a fourteenth success of the campaign, this coming hot on the heels of his all the way success on Incline at Sligo on Tuesday night. Winning trainer, Tom McCourt was on duty at Bellewstown. (EM)
