Top-weight no problem to Lucky William

He may have had top-weight to shoulder but there is no doubting the touch of class that Lucky William possesses and the chestnut son of All My Dreams showed as much when landing the Nina Carberry Novice Handicap Chase under Barry Geraghty at Fairyhouse.
Lucky William's trainer Tom Cooper supplied Geraghty with another winner here yesterday in the shape of Eightybarackstreet. This time the victory was achieved by Lucky William getting the better of Last Time D'Albain from before the last before going on to score by a length and a quarter.
Cooper said: "I was very worried about the soft ground. We'll look at Punchestown now – maybe the Grade 1 novice chase." (MG & EM)
