Tongue-Tie Does Trick for Who's Deal
Who's Deal a three-time winner in point-to-points when frequently carrying a tongue-tie, found that aid most beneficial when capturing the I.N.H. Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Maiden Hurdle.
An eye-catcher when not getting home at Thurles on Tuesday last, without the tongue-tie, today, again with Andrew McNamara up, the son of Pistolet Bleu travelled really well to get into contention, and when given the office away from the last, the 12/1 shot stretched away for a five and a half length win from favourite, Shirley Casper
Gerry O'Keeffe, owns and trains Who's Deal, and he is known to many as the proprietor of the sawmills in Lismore, Co. Waterford. He described anything that his gelding achieves over hurdles as a "bonus" as chasing is his true vocation. (EM)
