Droim Toll benefitted from a well judged ride from Paul Townend to take the handicap chase at Punchestown. Tiernan's Terror had made a game effort to make all the running but was joined at the last by Droim Toll.

Townend drove his mount to the front on the run-in to record a three-length victory.

Winning trainer Donie Hassett was absent.
