Tigroney and Meyler team up well

It wasn't difficult to see where Liz Doyle's "that was a great ride," compliment came from after Donagh Meyler had forced the issue from the start to win the Kingsland Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick on Tigroney
"It was one of those races where you had to do something to win it," added Miss Doyle.
"We decided if nothing was going on we would make it. She settled in front and jumped great.
"I said to him to kick at the top of the hill and it would be my fault if she didn't stay.
"We'll go chasing next summer with her. She wants that ground and she's due a holiday soon."
The favourite, Barrack Street finished placed over this course and distance for the third time in succession as he failed to get into top gear early enough.
He finished off well but couldn't peg back Tigroney, a length separating them at the line.
Senator Paul Bradford and his wife Lucinda Creighton are busily eyeing the upcoming election under the new Renua banner. Bradford owns Tigroney, and the Vinnie Roe mare didn't go un-backed for this win, coming into 4/1 from an opening show of fives.
The six-year-old was adding to her Wexford bumper win from last April.
