Grade 2-placed chaser Minx Tiara successfully reverted to hurdles at Ballinrobe today as the David O'Brien trained mare made all to win the BoyleSports (Mares) Handicap Hurdle under jockey Kevin Brouder.
The daughter of Doyen won on fences debut at Thurles in February before gaining a valuable black-type placing in a Limerick Grade 2 novice chase last month.
Today the six year old rewarded connections' enterprising decision to revert back to hurdles, as she made all for a six and a half lengths win over Tune The Chello
Minx Tiara was the opening leg of an O'Brien-horses double at Thurles in February and today the trainer, while leading-up, commented “she was very good there and we’ll see how she is as regards running her again on Sunday (in a Tramore chase).”
