Three Stars justified 6/4 favouritism in Down Royal's maiden hurdle with a decisive six-length success.
Andrew Lynch was on board for Henry de Bromhead and he tracked Bryan Cooper and Myles Ahead before coming through to dispute the lead at the fourth last.
He got his head in front at the second last and was pushed along to draw clear on the run-in to beat Myles Ahead (3/1). Scorpion Star was another five lengths away in third at 7/1.
Andrew Lynch said: "He did it well. He was unlucky the last day but improved for it."
Henry de Bromhead was represented by Dave Roche who said: "He has always worked well but soft ground was catching him out. We always thought he was a nice horse. He could go to Galway for a novice hurdle."
Owner Robert Finnegan from Co Waterford was in attendance having travelled up from Dublin. He commented: "He's enjoying the good ground, he didn't like it too soft."
On his last outing, Three Stars was beaten half a length into second in a 15-runner maiden hurdle at Tipperary in April on good ground.
