Thedancingfarrier obliged at 25/1 for Paul Kiely and Mikey Hamill in the concluding two and a half mile handicap hurdle at Cork.

He was at the head of affairs and jumped three out particularly well. He had all bar Womalko Sargeant Lightfoot and Temptationinmilan burned off by the next obstacle.

Womalko attempted to reel him in between the final two flights and was given hope when Thedancingfarrier made a mistake at the last.

Foley got into the drive position on the leader as they faced a challenge from Womalko on the run-in. The leader, who was up in the van the whole way, found extra to score by half a length from the 5/2 joint favourite Womalko.

Temptationinmilan, the other 5/2 joint favourite, kept on for third ahead of Steelers Appeal (20/1).

Trainer Paul Kiely said: "It is nice to get him off the mark on the track and he has three point to points won. He was bred at home and will be there forever more now.

"The soft ground helped him more than anything today and I thought Tyner's horse (runner-up Womalko) would beat him when he made the mistake at the last but he battled well.

"That's my third racecourse winner and I only have a handful for the track and have mostly point to pointers. We're always looking to get some more.

"My father owns him and my brother Tom is a farrier and shoes him. It is a family run thing and the horse gets his name from Tom, who is known to throw a few moves!"
