The Ross another for Doyle & Barry
Eoin Doyle and Shay Barry can do little wrong at present and The Rossmeister was another for the Kilkenny/Waterford alliance when he took the www. corkracecourse .ie Maiden Hurdle in the colours of the trainer's mother, Pauline.
The successful son of Celtic Swing was backed from as big as 15/2 this morning (9/2 on track) into 7/2 and he proved too strong for Wise up the straight, prevailing by three lengths.
Doyle commented: "He is growing the whole time and he is just filling into his frame more. He could go for a handicap now where he'll have the four-year-old allowance. He is well-weighted on the flat too (rated 54) and we'll mix-it with him.
"I bought him out of Ger Lyons' and we've had luck with horses we've got from Ger."
Chebona Bula won three for Doyle after coming from Lyons.
