The Reaper outclasses his rivals
Leading Dundalk trainer Ger Lyons sent out another winner at the track when his two-year-old Footstepsinthesand colt The Reaper took the five furlong maiden by a comfortable four-and-a-half lengths after hitting the front inside the final furlong.
Shane Lyon's, Ger's brother and assistant, was delighted with the performance. He said: "He did it well. He was the highest rated in the race and has been running up to his form.
"He went right away from them all and will be a lovely three-year-old. We'll see how he comes out of the race. We might go again here."
Keagan Latham did the steering on the 7/4 favourite who landed a 10,000 euro Racing Post yearling bonus. Catalpa Sail who was backed from 4/1 to 3/1 on-course came second, with Beau Bunny back in third.
