The Kings Sword wins Thurles finale
The concluding Toboradora Bumper at Thurles today was won by the Kieran Purcell trained The Kings Sword who battled gamely to win under a strong ride from Paul Cashman.
The son of King's Theatre made all, and although he came off the bridle before the straight, battled gamely to win by a short head from Spill The Beans
Afterwards Purcell stated “The Kings Sword was meant to be partnered by Joe Burns, who rides him out, but he was unable to ride him due to having the flu. Kings Sword was entitled to that and will make a smashing chaser.”
