The Fonze Makes It Eight
The Fonze registered his eighth career success and his first over fences at his second attempt when putting the Killone Estates Chase to bed in a matter of strides before the last, going on to beat favourite, The Spoonplayer by five and a half lengths.
Tommy Treacy rode this four time flat and three time hurdle winner for local trainer, Eoin Doyle, who also supplied the fourth, Coin Man who ran his best race for some time. The Fonze's sire, Desert Sun has been getting some good National Hunt winners lately including Salford City and Buachaill On Eirne. (EM)
