The Doc calls the shots at Downpatrick
The Rocking Dock justified 7/2 favouritism when benefiting from a well judged ride from Shane McCann to win the Britvic NI Beginners' Chase at Downpatrick today.
McCann produced the grey son of Dr Massini with his challenge at the second last fence, eventually getting his head in front close home for a length and a quarter win over Whats Up Gorden
Winning trainer Gordon Elliott was absent but his jockey bother Joey Elliott did report “The Rocking Dock has been a good servant for us but that latest win was a long time coming – he'll go handicapping chasing now and Shane (McCann) gave him a great ride.”
