Terry's Delight scores first win for Moore

Tue 26th May 2009, 21:30

Cappoquin, Co Waterford based Julie Anne Moore registered her first winner as a trainer when her Terry's Delight landed the concluding Monard (QR) Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary tonight.

Terry's Delight was given an excellent waiting ride by Derek O'Connor, eventually improving to lead entering the straight, before scoring an easy eight lengths winner.

Moore later stated "Terry's Delight has had tendon trouble and it was nice to get this!"

Moore is a first cousin of O'Connor's and Terry's Delight is owned by Tom Moore, godfather to the winning jockey.
