Teocht (7/1) gained a third career win and a first of 2014 when landing the Leopardstown Handicap at Leopardstown today for trainer Jim Bolger and stable jockey Kevin Manning.
Teocht (translated as 'temperature' in Irish), a daughter of the ex-Bolger trained Teofilo, quickened well in the closing stages for a comfortable win over Korbous
Afterwards Bolger stated “I took a chance running her over a mile as there weren't that many suitable opportunities and it worked out.
“The slower ground might have helped but the lad who rides her out (amateur rider James Dowling, who partnered his first bumper winner at Roscommon recently) said she was in very good form.”
