Denis Hogan's Tawaazon justified 7/4 favouritism in the claiming maiden over six furlongs in Dundalk.
Sean Bowen worked him to the front by the furlong pole and the pair kept on best from a persistent Instrumental who gave best by a length and a half.
The runner-up was a market drifter from 5/2 in the morning out to 14/1. He was three parts of a length in front of The Rebel Breen (5/1).
Bowen, riding his sixth winner, said: "He ran a cracker, to be fair to him, in Listowel on Tuesday. He ran a fair race (in fourth).
"I'd say the blinkers just sharpened him up and he's after improving from his runs.
"There wasn't too much in it (race), to be fair, but he did the job.
"He was second for Denis here (in February) and ran a cracker for him there."
A friendly claim was successful on the winner.
