Tapioca tough as she breaks duck
Tapioca proved a tough customer in the 1m4f handicap at Dundalk as she fought doggedly to land the spoils.
The Michael Halford-trained filly duelled it out with Princess Lomi from over a furlong out and got on top in the closing stages under Shane Foley.
"She stuck at it well. They went fast early and she struggles to hold a place but stays well," said Halford.
"Shane gave her a good ride as she was last down the back straight. She's in foal to Verglas and that probably helped. I'm glad to get a bracket with her.
"She wants decent ground and we'll aim her at another handicap somewhere."
