Tango brought up a quick-fire double at the Curragh for Aidan and Donnacha O'Brien with an authoritative display in the Listed Legacy Stakes.

Just like her stablemate Precious Moments in the opener, this filly took advantage of a drop in class.

The daughter of No Nay Never was last seen finishing fourth in the Group 1 Cheveley Park in Newmarket last month and, in fact, her last five outings came in Group 2 or Group 1 company.

The 11/8 favourite travelled strongly on the outer and eased to the front with over a furlong to race.

She was asked to go and win her race flashing past the furlong pole and soon powered clear to win by an impressive six lengths. Schroders Mistake came in second at 8/1 having been as big as 20/1 in the morning. She was a length and a half ahead of Silver Spear (16/1).

Aidan O’Brien said: “She’s a smart filly and Donnacha thinks she’s getting better. He said she was very sweet and she’ll get further. If she gets seven then she could get a mile next year.

“She has experience and could go for the fillies' race at the Breeders Cup. I always liked her but she was probably a bit babyish for a while. She galloped right out to the line.”

This moved Donnacha O'Brien onto 98 winners for the season in his bid to retain the jockey's title. He is now three ahead of Colin Keane.

Paddy Power made Donnacha O'Brien 1/4 from 1/3 for the Irish Champion Flat Jockeys' Title with Colin Keane now 11/4 from 2/1.

The bookmaker's spokesman Paul Binfield said: "Aidan (O'Brien) was obviously instrumental in Donnacha's older brother Joseph taking the title twice and with the champion trainer, together with jockey turned handler Joseph, providing winners like this duo, we're now long odds-on that Donnacha emulates his sibling with a second crown."

Paddy Power cut Tango from 66/1 to 33/1 for the 1,000 Guineas and gave Precious Moments a first show of 50/1.
