Take A Shot scores again
Take a Shot was the second reserve of the evening to ‘get a run’ and win at Roscommon today, winning the Abbey Hotel Roscommon Handicap Hurdle, as the second reserve, for trainer Francis Flood and jockey Mark Walsh.
Afterwards Flood’s son Fran Flood Jnr reported “Take A Shot battled well again today and it was a similar story to his win at Tipperary.”
“He’ll go for something similar again and it is good to see him going the right way since picking up an injury 18 months ago.”
Jockey Sean Byrne, who partnered Steel Park to finish tenth, was subsequently suspended for two days for using his whip when his mount was out of contention.
