At the sixth time of asking Tadaany (7/4 favourite) got off the mark, on his first encounter with soft to heavy ground, in the opening Tote Jackpot Guarantee Maiden at Listowel.
Dermot Weld 's Acclamation gelding was never far away under Pat Smullen, and the Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned three-year-old led inside the final quarter mile.
He extended away inside the last for a four and three parts of a length verdict over Rainfall Radar
"He was entitled to win as it was a weak race and he handles soft ground which is a big help," said Smullen.
"I thought the turning track suited and he also got the run of the race."
