Table Forty Six avoids the chaos
Table Forty Six landed an eventful mares novices hurdle at Kilbeggan when staying on best from the last under Eddie O’Connell to pip Annie Other and Shabra Charity
The result may have been very different had Black Rock Lake (10/1) and Tim Carroll not come to grief two out when a length in front.
Hat-trick seeking Miss Accurate (11/4) also blundered away her chance when making a bad mistake five out. Although Bryan Cooper stayed in the plate the filly dropped out from leading and finished a well-beaten sixth.
Eddie O’Connell got a great run out of 8/1 shot Table Forty Six to deprive top-weight course and distance winner and 9/4 favourite Annie Other and Jack Doyle by three parts of a length.
Shabra Charity and Mattie Bowes were only a neck away in third at 15/2 for trainer Oliver Brady.
The going was changed after the second race to good to yielding.
