Synopsis is now two from two for Ger Lyons after she got up to win the Knockcroghery Handicap under Gary Carroll for owner David Spratt.

Fourth on her debut for Roger Varian at Newbury in April of 2015, the daughter of Azamour then won on her debut for Lyons at the Curragh in October.

Making her debut in handicap company this evening, and stepped up to a mile and a half for the first time, she was sent off a 6/1 chance, having opened at 9's on-course.

Settled behind the leaders on the rail early on, she dropped back to mid-division down the back straight.

She was ridden and switched to the outer with over two furlongs to race, hitting the front in the closing stages before going on to win by three parts of a length. Sweet Cherry (11/1) finished second under Gary Halpin for Eamonn Delany, while the 3/1 favourite Deor was a neck back in third under Tom Madden for John Kiely.

The market leader had lost his place turning into the straight but he kept on well for pressure to take minor honours. Red House Hill who won at Limerick on her last start, hadn't much luck in running as she finished fifth under Pat Smullen for Charles Byrnes.

Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said afterwards: "I'm delighted for Gary as he's a big part of the team. She's only come to herself in the last few weeks and will improve for the run. She can step up in trip, and is going the right way."
