The easy to back Sweetasever got off the mark in the Join The Gowran Park Racing Club For E100 Nursery, scoring under Ana O'Brien for her brother Joseph.
Having shown little in three maiden runs, the daughter of Power was installed a 5/1 chance last night, opening on-course at 8's, before going off at 11/1.
Settled in fifth, she was pushed along in a closer fourth from the two furlong pole. She was ridden to challenge on the outer with over a furlong to race, getting to the front in the closing stages, before going on to prevail by a neck.
The well-supported Dandys Gold (16's this morning and from 10's to 8's on-course) filled the runner-up spot under Chris Hayes for William Fitzpatrick, while Sir Dreamalot (6/4fav) was a further half a length back in third under Declan McDonogh for Andy Slattery.
Joseph O’Brien said afterwards: "Ana gave her a great ride. We thought earlier in the year that she would win a maiden but she was a bit disappointing and has taken a few runs to get the hang of things. She should stay a mile."
STEWARDS REPORT
D. O'Brien, rider of Pronounced trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled throughout this race.
