Swan off the mark for year
Charlie Swan saddled his first winner of 2010 when Cool Dude Luke ran out a convincing winner of the novice hurdle at Thurles.
Davy Russell was completing a quick double in the Gigginstown colours when sending his mount to the front two from home.
He stayed on well from the last to record a five-length success over West Ship Master
"It's grand to get a winner. It's my first in 2010," revealed Swan afterwards.
"My horses were a bit sick over Christmas and the frost was probably a good help to me. It couldn't have come at a better time!
"He's a grand horse and will make a nice chaser - he stays well. We'll see how he comes out of this and look for something similar.
"I was a little bit worried that he might just need the run."
