Swan and Berry team up at Dundalk
Co. Tipperary trainer Charlie Swan saddled Jalmira to win The Irish Stallions Farms EBF Fillies Race under Fran Berry at odds of 3/1.
Winning jockey Berry commented, "I was a little bit worried about lack of pace before the race but they went a good pace and my horse settled and quickened up well and I'm delighted with the win."
Swan said afterwards, "That was great tactical ride by Fran [Berry]. That's the horses 13th race this year and it was nice to see him get his head in front. We'll back here with him in a few weeks time for a Listed Race."
Berry increased his tally of wins to 78, which makes him only 3 winners behind Pat Smullen for the Jockeys Title.
