The Rooftop Restaurant At Gowran Park Nursery was won by Optimal Power trained by Eddie Lynam and ridden by Willie Supple in the colours of Mrs Sabina Power.

Supple raced his mount in mid division and improved to challenge over 1f out. Supple battled all the way to the line with Ger Lyons Tarrsille but managed to hold him off and win by a head.

Lynam said afterwards, 'He was only just touched off in the first Nursery of the year at The Curragh and on that run he was entitled to win. He is owned by Sabina Power wife to one of Ireland's leading bookmakers David Power.'
