Suntan loses his maiden tag
The Jim Bolger trained Suntan got off the mark on the fourth time of asking when running out a three length winner of the Barbara Collins Lifetime Achievement In Racing Nursery Handicap.
Kevin Manning who had to get after his mount at the two furlong marker kept on well to lead inside the final furlong to record an easy success over 5/4 favourite Snow Mountain
Winning trainer Bolger said afterwards: “The blinkers probably helped him today. He’ll get a bit further.”
“We’ll go for another Nursery possibly at Galway.”
