Sunbird could be Golden at Cork
Golden Sunbird faces a couple of old adversaries as she lines up in today's Irish Stallion Farms EBF Lombardstown Mares Novice Chase in the 2.20 at Cork.
Paul Nolan 's seven-year-old was a Listed winner in both bumper and hurdles company but has yet to taste victory in five attempts at Graded level.
Golden Sunbird faced Shop Dj on her chasing bow but failed to finish after taking a heavy fall at the last.
She bounced back with victory over Knockfierna last time at Limerick and both that one and Shop Dj will be in the line-up for Sunday's Grade Three event.
Nolan said: "She came good last time after a terrible fall and we were so pleased to see her come back from that.
"It was an awful experience and it didn't seem to affect her, although she might have been a little bit lucky at the last.
"It's a competitive little race with the likes of Knockfierna and Shop Dj - two we've run against before - but she's a lovely mare and we'll see how we go."
A field of six go to post, with Streamtown Our Victoria and Mayo Mystique completing the line-up.
